What is driving our choices and actions? Are we acting out of fear or out of love?
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 19 We love because he first loved us.
1 John 4:18–19 NIV
When we focus on our fallen world or on our own circumstances, it’s easy to react out of fear. But we are called to a different path: we are to love God and love our neighbor. So will you join me today in praying that God’s perfect love will drive out any fear that we are harboring?
As for me, I’m also praying that our gracious and loving Father will meet you where you are today, reassuring you with a knowledge and sense of who He is that allows you to rest in Him.
