Last weekend I asked what motivates us, which brings to mind this verse from the Psalms:
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Psalm 37:4 NIV
Father,
You tell us that when we delight in You, You will give us the desires of our hearts. Transform us, Lord, that we may not only delight in You but that as a result we may desire what You desire. Give us a hunger for Your ways and Your reign in our lives and in the world around us. May we be more shaped by You, Your love, and Your ways than we are by the world around us.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
