Merry Christmas! Today I pray that your day is filled with wonder and awe at the gift of the Incarnation of our loving God.
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
Luke 2:10-11
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
Most Holy Father,
Today we join your angels in proclaiming Glory to You, our God, in the highest heaven. We ask for your peace on earth. May Your kingdom come and may Your will be done. Please work in the lives of your people, both individually and as Your body, that we may bear your name with honor, ultimately giving You glory in all we say and do. Make us ever aware of Your presence with us, not just today, but each day that You give us. We thank You for the gift of Your Son. It is in His precious name that we come before Your throne with joy and thanksgiving. Amen.
