As I’ve been diving back into the spiritual discipline of silence this fall, the first line of Psalm 46:10 keeps coming to mind. But it’s always good to go back and put those fragments into context. The whole verse reads
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
Psalm 46:10 NIV
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Will you join me in praying that not only will God enable us to be still and silent in His presence, but that His will will be done in our lives, in our communities, and in the world around us? Will you pray with me that His reign and kingdom will come?
May our God be exalted in our lives, in His church, and to the ends of the earth!
