Praying Scripture – 11/27/2019

This week in the U.S. we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. While it can serve as a much needed reminder to be thankful, sometimes it just serves as an opportunity to get together, eat way too much food, and (if you’re so inclined) watch parades and football. God calls us to much more, though. He calls us to lives, not days, filled with thankfulness:

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV

No matter where you live today, will you join me not only in thanking God for His many blessings but also in seeking God’s transformation that we might become truly thankful people? May we be characterized by joy, prayer, and thanksgiving—each and every day of the year—no matter our circumstances.
