3 I thank my God every time I remember you. 4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:3-6
Loving Father,
I thank You for Your body, the church. I thank You for my local church family. I ask for Your protection and healing for my local church, for Your wider body, and for our surrounding world in this season. I ask that You will make us a light to those around us, showing Your love for all of humanity. May we be loving partners in sharing the good news of Your love and salvation each day. Help us to trust You and Your ways rather than our own understanding. Help us to focus on the fact that You are working in us as individuals and as a body. Thank You that You are faithful to bring Your work to completion. May we remember that it is the work of Your Spirit rather than our own effort that accomplishes Your plan. Help us to rest in You, but also to cooperate with the work of Your Spirit in our lives. I pray all of these things in the name of our holy and risen Savior, Jesus. Amen.
